One of the Seven Wonders: The Hanging Gardens of Babylon History has always been closely linked to beauty, as numerous figures over the centuries have wanted to leave their mark on it so that it would be remembered forever. This mark is not always dictated by selfishness, but rather often as a sign of love, a gift to society or even sometimes to a single person. This was the legendary case of one of the most fascinating and surprising works in the history of humanity, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world: the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, a masterpiece of architecture and engineering that enchanted and intrigued the entire world for centuries. Legend has it that King Nebuchadnezzar II built these gardens as a gift for his queen, Amytis, who came from Persia and found the Mesopotamian plain too monotonous and treeless. To please her, the king decided to create a hanging garden, a veritable oasis suspended between heaven and earth. The Gardens of Babylon consisted of a series of overlapping terraces, connected by stairs and a complex network of canals and irrigation pipes. The plants were arranged in such a way as to create a play of colors and shapes, giving rise to an explosion of beauty for the eyes and scents for the nose. Amytis, the queen who inspired this masterpiece, now becomes the name of a new perfume, capable of evoking the same emotions and sensations of wonder and pleasure. Amytis is a fragrance that encapsulates all the beauty of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, with notes of bergamot, grapefruit, jasmine, rose, geranium, ylang ylang, fig, galbanum, marine accents, pink pepper, patchouli, sandalwood, and musk, created by nose Michele Marin, who has captured the essence and atmosphere of the Gardens of Babylon through this symphony of notes. Amytis is a perfume that motivates us never to be discouraged, that pushes us to explore the world but also ourselves, through the particular notes that make it up, it stimulates us to always seek something that surprises and enchants us, just as the queen surely regained her happiness thanks to the wonder and amazement bestowed upon her by her beloved king. After all, it is this curiosity and desire to experience innovative and unique sensory experiences that throughout history has led humanity to exceed its limits, giving future generations new and splendid adventures. This perfume is an expression of a desire of a free spirit ready to dream, challenging rules and breaking down boundaries. Amytis invites us on a sensory and olfactory journey that starts from the heart and transports us to a world of beauty and harmony, evoking the magical and enchanted atmosphere of the Hanging Gardens, where nature merges with art and technology to create a timeless work, where we will feel enveloped by the scent of flowers combined with sweet echoes of distant songs and dances, welcomed by the light and freshness of a new day. Amytis is a bouquet of fresh and green notes, such as bergamot, grapefruit, and the green accord, which evoke the Hanging Gardens that inspire the fragrance. Jasmine and rose, symbols of beauty and refinement, blend with ylang ylang to create an oriental and sensual atmosphere. Fig and galbanum add a touch of exoticism, while the marine accord and pink pepper make the accord slightly spicy. Finally, patchouli, sandalwood, and musk create a enveloping and sensual efect that remains on the skin for hours. “Trying to tell historical characters, through olfactory portraits, represents for me a challenge that stimulates the whiskers and the hypothalamus. When Emilia Chinigó asked me to cooperate to this new project by Anima Mundi, I could only immerse myself in this journey with her. So, closing my eyes and accompanying Amytis to the gardens of Babylon, it was like finding myself at the court of Nebuchadnezzar, among sunny terraces, luxuriant with baskets of flowers… walking sheltered among wet and sap-rich fruit trees… staying in the water pools and immerse my face in the petals of exotic flowers...An instant of this paradiseon the skin: Amytis is a fine line between afnity and sensuality. “ -Michele Marin
