Oud Fougere

Oud Fougere by Agar Aura is a fragrance for women and men. Oud Fougere was launched in 2022. The nose behind this fragrance is Taha Syed. The fragrance features Agarwood (Oud), Ambergris, Absinthe, Lavender, Fern, Oakmoss, Patchouli, Green Notes, Betel Leaf, Geranium, Citruses, Galbanum and Woody Notes. If the ambergris doesn't hit you over the head, the oud certainly will. Although the Fougère genre marked the beginning of the widespread use of synthetics in perfumery with the ingredient coumarin, our Oud Fougère was crafted using solely nature-derived ingredients. And that includes our very own in-house natural coumarin extract. Oud Fougère opens with a blast of oud and ambergris alongside sparking citrus and geranium, blending into rich green foresty notes. Reminiscent of a foggy morning, fern leaves heavy with dew, intoxicating absinthe and sharp lavender provide crisp fresh overtones, further honed by the greenest Indian galbanum and betel leaf extract. The vibrant top notes are anchored by a seductive dark foresty base of oud, oakmoss, and patchouli that lasts for hours on end. If you've jumped the bandwagon and discovered Agar Aura's pure oud oils, you'll immediately realize why north Malaysian Aquilaria Malaccensis oud was the perfect choice for this fragrance. Natural, unwarped oud oil is not what most folks imagine it is. Those barnyard and fecal notes most associate with oud are the result of fermenting and rotting the wood prior to distillation – something Agar Aura never does. With it's naturally jungle-green, sparkly fresh, and nutmeg-peppery flavors, Malaysian oud pairs perfectly with the absinthe to make the ultimate summer oud fragrance. As for the ambergris, we utilized the stinkiest Irish black ambergris that would turn your tummy if you smelled it straight. But blended carefully into this fragrance, what you get is an amazing oceanic-breezy facet that pairs with our coumarin extract so well... you'd swear its impossible to achieve the behavior, performance, and 'texture' of Oud Fougère with all-natural ingredients.
